Wetlands and many aquatic habitats are some of the most ecologically diverse habitats. Species that use these habitats include fish, amphibians, and aquatic invertebrates, but also shorebirds, waterfowl, and mammals. Wetland and aquatic species face many climate-related impacts, some of which are due to the temperature-limited habitat available to them. Other stressors can include invasive plants and animals, habitat connectivity loss (aquatic and terrestrial), and pests and diseases.
