Addressing climate change isn't always about change. Sometimes it's about doing our best to maintain rare plants and animals that provide important diversity by providing a refuge for these species. Determine if your land contains any sensitive or at-risk species and identify measures that you can take to ensure their survival. Find your land on the map and see if it includes important habitat based on the BioMap2 layer. If you are a private landowner, prioritize areas of your land that include at-risk species in your conservation efforts. As a municipal official, prioritize these areas as a part of your open space planning and conservation zoning efforts.
