How to Search
The homepage provides different options for exploring the information in this tool.
Using Option 1, Explore by Steps, you can jump around to all of the steps that will will help you learn about action(s) to take:
- Communication & Engagement will teach you more about how to engage with the public about climate change.
- Vulnerability allows you to identify stressors affecting your community as well as the species and habitats in the area.
- Planning gives you ideas for how to address climate change in the municipal planning process - some plan options include Hazard Mitigation Plan, Open Space Plan, and Transportation Improvement Plan.
- Action, the goal of this tool, supplies adaptation strategies specifically designed to address the impacts of climate change.
Option 2, Explore by Topic, allows you to explore a specific area of interest, which you can narrow by town or watershed (statewide is set automatically). These topic areas include: Fish & Wildlife, Coastal Resources, Forest Resources, and Managing My Land. Or you can choose to search by all topics.
Choosing one of these options will lead you to a page pre-set with suggested results narrowed down specifically to what you care about. You can then further narrow or expand your search based on your interests by checking or unchecking items in the search filter boxes on the left. From here, you can also move around the various steps mentioned in Option 1 above. Clear Search will clear away all search settings and uncheck all items in the search boxes.
You can always visit the home page or the Quick Start dropdown to look at different suggested searches based on topics of interest.
From the homepage, you can also do a site-wide keyword search in the top right corner.
